My work involves the human need to explore and discover the world around us. Whether travelling in boats searching the waters, riding a horse or cow, or simply just on foot looking out from hill tops, there is a sense of adventure behind every piece.

My dogs are similarly occupied in searching and exploring although the feeling is that it is for food and not to satisfy curiosity as with my male forms.

The nakedness of the figures suggests a primitiveness and also equality amongst them, materialistic values lost. I create elongated figures, stretching their limbs, giving the impression of fragility and delicateness.

I use paper clay formed around wire armatures, enabling me to achieve figures that are as thin and elegant as possible. These are fired at a low temperature, detailed with slips and oxides, and fired once more. The figures are then secured onto stoneware bases or onto wooden frames.
