Melanie Adkins' ceramic sculptures show a lively and characterful side to dogs, finding inspiration from Great Danes, Bloodhounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Pointers, Hungarian Vislas, Dobermans and many more.

Each sculpture is fired to 1200°. Oxide stains and semi-transparent glazes are applied to emphasise shadow and features. Alternatively, they may be smoke fired with sawdust and vegitation.
